We follow the path out of the bush area covered with bearded lichens and

Shira plateau. Shira is one of the highest plateaus (3,500 m - 3,960 m) in the world.

After breakfast, we'll hike from the Shira plateau to
the impressive lava tower before heading for the Barranco camp.
We leave the Shira plateau and continue along a ridge heading east,
with a magnificent view of the Kibo summit.

On the 4th day, we leave the spectacularly situated Barranco camp behind us.

We take a break here before leaving Karanga again and heading up
to Barafu Hut (4,700 m). At this point, you have completed the trail in
South loop, which shows the summit from many different angles. Here,
we set up camp, rest, dine and prepare for the day's activities.

Shortly after midnight (between midnight and two in the morning), we continue our
route to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. We climb over
coarse scree to Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most
mentally and physically challenging part of the trek. At Stella Point (5,740 m) we do
a short break, and after all our efforts we are rewarded by the sunrise

After breakfast, we'll head into the lush rainforest until we reach
