Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa continent at 5895 metres (19340 feet). The majestic mountain is a snow-capped snow-covered volcano. Kilimanjaro is very popular with both experienced hikers and new adventurers, as it is considered the easiest of the seven summits. Kilimanjaro stands alone. Kilimanjaro is not only Africa's highest but also the highest free mountain in the world. There are 7 main routes from Mount Kilimanjaro to the summit, Uhuru Peak, one of which runs along the north side of the mountain and the rest along the south. Once you've made the decision to climb Kilimanjaro, you'll need to choose your route.

DAY 1

LONDOROSSI GATE

At your accommodation in Arusha, you will meet our mountain guide
professional for a detailed discussion of all aspects of the climb and a
checking your equipment. We leave the town of Arusha and head towards
to the Londorossi gate on Mount Kilimanjaro, which takes about 2 hours. Then..,
we complete the formalities to enter the park and meet our guests.

DAY 2

FROM CAMP FORESTIER TO CAMP SHIRA 1

We continue to follow the path out of the forest into the bush.

DAY 3

SHIRA CAMP 1 - SHIRA 2 - MOIR HUT/CAMP.

During our slightly uphill hike, we explore the plateau of
Shira all day long as we get closer and closer
of glacial Kibo as we head east. Shira is one of
highest plateaus (3,500 m - 3,960 m) in the world.

DAY 4

MOIR HUT - LAVA TOWER - BARRANCO CAMP

We leave the Shira plateau and continue eastwards on a ridge.
As we continue, our direction changes to south-east,
we head for the lava tower (4,570 m), a volcanic chimney
also known as "shark's tooth". This is the highest altitude
we've reached today. If we keep going, we'll reach
near the Arrow glacier, over which a direct climb leads to Kibo.
We descend to Barranco camp at 3,900 m, where we have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 5

BARRANCO CAMP - KARANGA CAMP

On the fifth day, we leave the spectacularly situated Barranco camp behind us.
walk up a steep slope past the Barranco wall before continuing on to the
camping in the Karanga valley. It's a short day, ideal for
acclimatization.

DAY 6

CAMP KARANGA - CAMP BARAFU

After breakfast, we leave Karanga and reach the crossroads that joins the
Mweka trail, our descent route, and climb up to Barafu hut (4
700 m). At this point, you've completed the southern loop trail, which shows the
summit from many different angles. Here we set up camp,
rest, dine and prepare for the night's ascent to the summit.

DAY 7

CAMP BARAFU - PIC UHURU (5,895m) - REFUGE MWEKA

Shortly after midnight (between midnight and two in the morning), we continue our
route to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. We climb over
coarse scree to Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most
mentally and physically challenging part of the trek. At Stella Point (5,740 m) we do
a short break, and after all our efforts we are rewarded by the sunrise
sun (weather permitting). From Stella Point, you may encounter
snow on your hour-long hike to the summit. Uhuru Peak (5,895
m), you've reached the highest point of Kilimanjaro and Africa. Only the

DAY 8

MWEKA - ARUSHA

After breakfast, we'll head into the lush rainforest until we reach
Mweka Gate (1,600 m), where your summit certificates will be issued. À
At low altitudes, the weather can be wet and muddy, so gaiters and boots are essential.
