Your day begins after breakfast at around 8:00 am. We leave with packed lunches for Lake Natron. Lake Natron is a surreal destination and a unique natural spectacle. Its waters are highly alkaline and unusually shallow, with an average depth of just one meter. After checking into your lodge and taking a short break, put on your walking shoes as a Maasai tribesman takes you on a walk along the shores of Lake Natron in search of birds, particularly flamingos. Lake Natron is the largest and most regular breeding ground for Lesser Flamingos in East Africa, hosting up to 2 million during the breeding season. The majority of egg-laying and hatching takes place between September and January. After the hike, you'll return to your lodge for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

If it's your lucky day, you can admire this natural wonder and watch nature take its course. Following the great migration, you could even head for the Lobo Valley. The central part of the Serengeti - known as the Seronera region - is one of the park's richest wildlife habitats. It is home to the Seronera River, which provides a valuable source of water for this region and therefore attracts wildlife that is well representative of most of the Serengeti's species. As you head towards the Seronera area, you'll start to notice the hilly, rugged terrain turning into flat grasslands. In Seronera, you really have to watch out for the many lion troops that thrive in this area. The interactions and survival of these lion troops provide an excellent year-round game-viewing experience. A picnic lunch will be prepared during the day's drive.
