fishing village in the south of the island. You will be welcomed by Mama
Aicha in her home, and share a special moment with her thanks to
your guide, who will be on hand to translate for you. You will participate in
preparation of meals using market-fresh produce that you will eat yourself
together.

Meeting with the women of a seaweed harvesting cooperative. Find out more

The algae we cultivate and harvest are used in particular to make cosmetics.
The women of the cooperative make their own soaps. You'll have the chance to
buy if you want to make small gifts to your loved ones. You contribute to and participate in
the emancipation of the women of Zanzibar during this visit, €5 per passenger will be donated to
the women's cooperative . Every purchase of soap and cosmetics is entirely
paid to the women of the cooperative. This project is one of our commitments to the
equitable development of Zanzibar.
