Ngorongoro Crater (Serengeti National Park)
The Ngorongoro Crater is located at an altitude of 2,200m (7200ft) and is considered one of the most impressive natural wonders of the African continent. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is called the “Garden of Eden”, because here you can find the largest density of wildlife in Africa. The crater has a diameter of 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) and is bordered by a 600m (2000ft) high crater wall. 25,000 wild animals move here in absolute freedom. The lush landscape offers enough water, pastures, swamps, lakes and tropical forest.
